Returns and Refund Policy

1. Introduction

At Online Butcher we strive to provide the best possible service to our clients and have put in place the relevant steps to ensure that all our staff and suppliers are fully aware of, and comply with the Consumer Protection Act. We confirm that Online Butcher operates in accordance with the requirements of the Consumer Protection Act. Our return policy is also aligned therewith.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the goods received are that which you have ordered. Once received, we recommend that you refrigerate it as soon as possible.

Please note that Online Butcher is exempt from refunding you for purchases where the product has become defective because it was not being cared for or stored in the correct manner, that ensures it will remain fresh for as long as, or more than its expiration date. Please further read our FAQ and Terms and Conditions relating to this Policy.

2. Refund

Online Butcher will gladly refund your purchase if you are not completely satisfied with the quality of the product, subject to the following:
• Where Proof of Payment/Purchase is provided;
• Where the product is returned in its original packaging;
• Where the product is returned to Online Butcher within the product’s
sell-by date; and
• The reason for returning the product is that the product is defective or a
sub-standard product.

Online Butcher reserves the right to send any returned goods for analysis and will provide an outcome within 10 (ten) business days from the date the goods have been returned. Technical analysis can or will include the comparing of our retention samples with the goods returned by a qualified service provider. The outcome may be done based on the professional recommendation and results from the service provider.

Should the goods be defective, your account will be credited to the value of that goods purchased.
No returns will be accepted if:
• Goods have been altered in any way; and
• There is a health risk attached, due to public and food safety regulations.

You may not return perishable items due to the fact that you had a change of mind in respect of the particular purchased item, this is due to public and food safety regulations. Please make sure that upon delivery or pickup of your order, the goods meet your requirements.

2. Cancellation

If, for any reason you would like to cancel an order this may be done by sending an email request to [email protected] An order may be cancelled up to 12hrs prior to the date and time of delivery, with no cost implication.

Should you cancel an order later than 12hrs to the date and time of delivery or pickup, you will be liable for 30% of the costs of the goods. No cancellations will be accepted once the order has gone out for delivery and/or you have received a notification that your order is ready for collection.

If you cancel your payment for any reason or if your payment card should cease to be valid for whatever reason, you will nevertheless be bound to pay the full purchase price, including all costs incurred by us relating to the recovery thereof.

We reserve the right to cancel, without prejudice to any other rights or remedies in law, any sale and/or your registration in the event of your breach any of these Terms.
